I bought three 256GB SD cards at Walmart for $8 on clearance. then I looked at recently modded iPod mini and realized I could buy 3 iPod Mini's with cosmetic issues, 3D print replacement shell's with my own flair, install the clearance SD cards, and bundle in a nice USB cable and a budget pair of IEM's, then sell them as a beginner HiFi audio art piece.
I wanted to show off my In Car 3D printer setup. Also I live an hour and a half away from the event, so why not.
What happens at the event?
Day 1:
Me and my Dad drove an hour and a half from where we live to Bel Air Maryland. After getting there, I put together a poster board that advertised my 3d printer setup. Then I spent most of the time wondering the event floor when i should of spent more time advertising. Any ways I saw a bunch of YouTube content creators at the event. also a ton of cool projects and prints.
Day 2:
I spent more time showing my setup on day 2. At first no one was going to see it, so I attached a sign to my back that told people to look in the parking lot for my car with a balloon. then people started to come see.
Conclusion:
I had a lot of fun at the event. meet some You Tubers and saw the behind the scenes of a few videos, which was cool. i plan on coming back next year.
Since I'm not home as much anymore, it allows me to 3d print more, and keep an eye on the printer. also it comes in handy when stuff brakes on the road, like the carabiner i use for my keys.
I was inspired by two Van Life You Tuber that 3d print out of their camper vans's. The you tube channel's are called “Morley Kert” and “Vanlife Troglio”.
